Loeb University Professor Laurence H. Tribe 62, who taught Obama and employed him as a research assistant, remembers him as a brilliant, personable, and obviously unique person. Tribe said that Obamas theoretical perspective on applying modern physics to law was very impressive.Unfortunately, the article fails to explain that last sentence. Applying modern physics to law? Inquiring minds want to know.
Update: Reader Matt Rognlie directs us to the Harvard Law Review and, in particular, this Tribe article, which thanks Obama in a footnote. Also thanked in the footnote is Gene Sperling--I presume it's the same Gene Sperling who later became a Clinton economic adviser.
